First Financial - Downtown Cincinnati

Background

Architects at K4 Architecture and Design were in the process of designing a new flagship location for First Financial Bank in downtown Cincinnati. The space needed to be part office space, part public space, and part traditional bank. This exciting Hybrid space was going to have people from all walks of life interacting with it at once, yet in their own unique way. They reached out to Urban Blooms, to bring the inspirational impact of our living walls to this unique space, after seeing one of our recent installations. While the wall was an addition to the design K4 had for the space, our engineers worked closely with the architects and contractors to make sure plumbing and lighting needs were met and worked into the existing design.

Outcome

This First Financial is located on the corner of 4th and Vine in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. This installation brings a touch of nature into a unique space that hundreds of people get to interact with on a daily basis. Designed to inspire, this wall features a wide variety of different plant species and sizes. At 16 x 12 ft this wall is home to around 200 living plants.
