Private Residences- Living Walls
Urban Blooms is known for our work in public spaces such as restaurants, hospitals, and gyms. But, did you know that Urban Blooms also creates beautiful living walls for private residences? We have installed numerous custom private living walls across the midwest, and each one of these private residences presented their own unique stories and challenges.
Some of our favorite residential projects include a 25 foot-tall living wall through two stories, poolside series of 7 living walls, kitchen area right angled living walls, and walls that serve as backyard privacy screens.
Our custom approach to each and every project has dubbed us experts in overcoming any challenges any space might present. We can literally bring any wall to life! By building these walls in a variety of shapes and sizes, and incorporating a variety of different materials, every project is unique.
One of our residential projects in Mt. Adams features a stainless steel pane, which is a wonderful example of our ability to personalize living walls to our customers’ tastes and preferences. We were able to create a multifaceted wall to appeal and add to the great aesthetics of this home. In order to achieve this elegant finish, a local metal supplier worked with us to provide our client with their contemporary vision.
The initial installation and years of upkeep have brought us closer with each family. Every new project helps broaden the Urban Blooms Community and our efforts to build more sustainable cities.
Other unique installations incorporate stonework into the design. A few different families have incorporated this natural material to take their living wall to the next level. For one family, we created a poolside sanctuary and incorporated their stone wall into the overall design to reduce the cost, and provide the family with a larger overall installation. The result included seven diagonal panels across a stone wall in front of a lap pool: a perfect picture of paradise. While we were presented with some irrigation challenges, we were able to accomplish a picturesque setting perfect for sunrises and sunsets.
